Weldon Color Lab is part of the fabric of Los Angeles’ art history. We have worked in close collaboration with generations of artists and photographers, producing images that hang in museums, galleries, and homes around the world.
Weldon is a full-service photography lab, specializing in digital Type C, pigment, and silver gelatin black and white printing, as well as mounting, scanning and retouching.
Fine Art Printing Since 1979
BLACK & WHITE
Some of us see the world
in only black and white.
Silver gelatin black and white printing is at the heart of Weldon Color Lab. A specialized process undertaken by a select few labs in the world, Weldon prints on Ilford Galerie Digital Fiber and RC Pearl using our Océ Lightjet 430.
We run a fully dedicated parallel line for black and white silver gelatin — custom ICC profiles, Lightjet calibration, and a German-made 50-inch Hostert processor.
Our digital silver gelatin prints are among the finest in the world.
Crating & Shipping
There aren’t so many places that make what we make anymore.
We work with countless clients around the world, big and small.
We proof, print, mount, and ship finished work anywhere in the world. All packaging is done in-house. For large or fragile work, we build custom wooden crates, priced per order.
